The Old School

Where history and luxury blend together

Where history and luxury blend together

A high specification, luxury two bedroom stone home surrounded by the Northumbrian countryside and bordered by the wildlife rich Glebe. Ideal for short or longer stays and an ideal base from which to explore our rich and diverse region.

In the heart of Northumberland

On the edge of the Glebe is The Old School, on the outside a traditional Northumbrian stone structure, built in approximately 1855 by the local vicar with interiors offering a high level of comfort and luxury following a recent complete renovation, while still maintaining a nod to its traditional beginnings. The emphasis is on luxury with every need catered for. The spacious master bedroom has a super king size bed with high thread Egyptian cotton and is supplemented by a second bedroom that can be set up as either a double or twin room.

The stunning bathroom features freestanding stone bath and basin as well as a walk in shower and complimentary Noble Isle toiletries.

The interiors feature lighting by David Hunt and Ralph Lauren as well as furnishings by Timothy Oulton and Mulberry. The Old School is designed to be comfortable all year round with garden seating and BBQ/Fire pit for the summer and a wood burning stove for cosy nights in during the winter months.

There is no shortage of entertainment including 55" smart TV with Netflix, Bang and Olufsen speaker and super fast broadband. There is a games room with table football, playstation and numerous boardgames.

The Old school is the ideal base to return to after a busy day exploring Northumberland or for spending lazy days.
